Lake of Bomba (Province of Chieti)

At the foot of the town the lake makes the city magic, a fairy place to visit. The lake is artificial and it was created with the first clay dam in Europe during the '50s and '60s. It represent a famous leisurely touristic spot.

It is 7 kilometers large, 1,5 kilometers long and 36 meters deep.

The lake habitat is composed of chub, crucian carp, carp, perch, eel, trouts and tench.

The lake is perfect for outdoorsy types: canoeing, windsurfing, waterskiing are the best pursuits or hire a pedalo for relaxing into calm waters.
